When our clients found this home, they weren’t starting from scratch — they were starting from potential. With a family background in architecture, the client’s had a deep appreciation for the bones of the space, and that mattered. The goal wasn’t a gut renovation. It was something more nuanced: honoring the character and integrity already present while layering in a style that made it feel like their home away from home.

The entry felt visually disconnected from the spaces around it — a mix of materials that worked against the home rather than with it. The stairwell lacked character. The lounge had potential that was buried under choices that no longer served the space. And the kitchen, while functional, needed a refresh that brought it in line with the clean, contemporary aesthetic our clients had always envisioned.
This is a house for gathering, for kicking off sandy shoes, for evenings with friends and slow weekend mornings — and every design decision we made had to honor that. Polished, but never precious. Curated, but never fussy.
