We’ll provide a comprehensive interior design plan that includes furnishings, room styling, a visual concept presentation, research and sourcing of products and materials, as well as tracking, scheduling, and receiving of all products.

Expert design guidance — in a single, focused session.

Whether you’re refreshing a single room, choosing paint colors, debating wallpaper choices, sourcing lighting, or finishing with accessories, Designer for a Day gives you direct access to our design expertise during a dedicated one-day session. In up to six focused hours—on-site, in our showroom, virtually, or in a mix that fits your project—we’ll guide selections, refine layouts, and help you move forward with confidence.

To make the most of our time together, we’ll ask you to complete a bit of prep work in advance so we can arrive ready to dive in.

FLAT RATE FEE

An intensive design session—in your home, our showroom, or virtually— for up to six hours inclusive of travel. Covering space planning, architectural review, design direction.

How it Works

Book your session by emailing us at info@detailsanddesign.com. You’ll receive a Design Questionnaire and invoice by return email.
Complete your questionnaire and submit room photos, measurements, and inspiration images at least 72 hours before your session.
Meet with us—in your home (within 15 miles of Annapolis, MD), at our studio, or virtually via Google Meet. Includes a combination of in-person collaboration + design refinement. Up to 6 hours total time inclusive of travel (if needed).
Receive your Session Recap: a curated summary of everything we covered, including material selections, vendor contacts, detailed notes, and a shopping list. You can expect the session recap by the end of the following business day.

Access to trade-exclusive furniture, textiles, wall coverings, and lighting. We’ll make recommendations and handle the ordering process.

FAQ

How many sessions can I book?
Up to three sessions per project. If your needs are larger, we’re happy to discuss Full Service Design.

How much will we cover?
We recommend focusing on 1–2 rooms per session. The more detail you provide in advance, the more ground we can cover.

Can I order trade-only items?
Yes — with this add-on service we’ll make recommendations during your session and handle ordering via a separate invoice after your session.

Can I add rooms or projects later?
Absolutely. Book another session when you’re ready, or transition to Full Service Design if your project grows.

We designed our Trade Program to partner with industry experts such as designers, stagers, decorators, builders, and architects to streamline customer service and sourcing.
